SuChan Bakery

The homely Suchan Bakery has been in Sect 11 ever since we can remember and another thing we can remember is their tiramisu. Out of all the cake selections that they have, the hot cakes would be the scrumptious tiramisu. The layers of marscapone cheese and coffee in the sponge cake was just the right amount. The caramelized crushed almonds adds a crunch factor to the cake. In order to fulfilled your tummy with the tiramisu, a slice and a half would do it. HAHAHAHHA

When you have a tiramisu crave, well you just gotta have a slice ASAP at Suchan. So off we went to have our tiramisu cake and after going through the menu, we decided on the 'Unbelievable set'. You are able to choose 4 cakes of your choice (since there were 3 of us) and 2 teas either iced or hot for RM 45 (before tax). That's cheap since a slice of tiramisu is RM 10.90 per slice. The orders were 3 delicious tiramisu and a banofee cake to fill our tummy.

If ice cream sundaes is your thing, then this blog post is for you! Well Delicious is known for their GIGANTIC salads (delicious btw), yummy pastas as well as to die for three cheese grilled sandwich. They also have a set for just tea with a layer for just sandwiches, scones, truffles and one dessert of your choice.
Your eyes and tummy will go nuts at a whole page dedicated to desserts and also drinks. In our menu of choice is the Watermelon and Lychee blast. The mixture of watermelon and lychee are so balanced that you will want to try their other drinks. It comes with 3 lychees and not forgetting the blended lychee bits in it. Yumm!

Watermelon & Lychee blast
Now comes the STAR of the night! The chocolicious sundae is the ideal sundae. What is in it? Tons of vanilla ice cream with pavlova bits in it and also fresh strawberries. It is then garnished with sliced toasted almonds for the crunchy nut punch.

Chocolicious sundae

Al-Andalus

As mention in earlier post about Middle Eastern food, Al-Rawsha, this is another restaurant that is equally as good or even better. Well Al-Rawsha has a better portion for sharing, Andalus has a great portion for singles.  The selection of food served here is a lot more in terms of choice wise as well as portion. Not forgetting the reasonable pricing.

Lamb Fillet Rm18

Grilled Chicken Drumsticks Rm18

They provide a basket full of Arabic bread which sort of looks like a pita bread. There are at least 4 breads in a plastic and it is FREE! The restaurant is a great place to hang out with friends (if you don't mind the noise) as well as a perfect place to watch football (a plus for the guys). They have 2 projector screens as well as televisions surrounding the restaurant. Shisha is sold here and at the price of RM 6, it is a bargain as the flavour of the tobacco doesn't runs dry fast. The grilled chicken thighs is a nice finger food to share with friends.

Lamb Kebab Rm20

Lamb Kebab with rice Rm24

Kebabs are essentials at any Middle Eastern restaurants. But don't count on eating veggies. The amount of greens put on each servings are merely enough for garnishing not so much eating. Hahaha you can actually count the amount of cucumber or carrots in each servings. Well a maximum of 2 slices that is. Also another must try is the non alcoholic malt drink and of course Mint Tea.

Ice Room

Late night cravings will be a bust if there isn't a place to go to, right?? So after eating a whole bunch, something sweet is just what you need to hit that spot to end a perfect day of eating. If ice shaves is what you crave than the Ice Room is the place to be.

Through the jam and rushing in order to get to the Ice Room before the last call was crucial! Between the 3 of us, we ordered 2 different ice shaves. The first one is the durian flavour and second is the strawberry flavoured. What is special about the shaves is that the flavours doesn't fade away as the flavour is in the ice. Some how through a 'magical' machine, they managed to intertwine the flavours within the ice. Amazing enough, the durian one smelled exactly like the real one too!!

There are a huge range to choose from depending to your taste buds. Aside from desserts, they also have food opinions if desserts ain't your thing. Can't wait to come back to try out their food! Not only that, they are also other desserts to choose from too.

Al Rawsha

When it comes to Arabic food, this would be one of the names that will come in mind. Al-Rawsha was actually one of the arab restaurants that had to moved from Jalan Damai to its current location at Kampung Pandan. The new place is HUGE and not forgetting the ample parking space which is FREE.

The restaurant is split into 2 levels. The upper level would be a perfect place to have parties or even wedding.  Walls are covered with cravings which is a staple to most arabic decor. Now to the food!

Lamb Maghdout Rm50
If you like sharing your food, we would suggest that you get the lamb Maghdut. Its HUGE serving on a large plate can feed up to 4 people generously. They also have half portion which equally filling for maybe 2 people? And if sharing isn't your cup of tea, then there are other foods to be eaten alone like their kebabs, sharwarma and sandwiches.
Lamb Kebab Rm20
Chicken Sandwich Rm10
Al-rawsha also does catering at home or even provides lamb (roast lamb) that varies from RM 800 - RM 1000. What is interesting is the fact that they even have a take out counter!! Nasi Lemak Paramount

Nasi Lemak Paramount or Bumbung as it is stated on the worker's uniform is known for their nasi lemak and even their indomee goreng. The place transforms at night from a Chinese hawker stall to Nasi Lemak haven where people will folk over to get some. Looks maybe deceiving as the place need a spruce of tidying up, but the food speaks for itself. Yummy Teh Ais is a good compliment to the scrumptious Nasi Lemak or any nasi lemak for that matter. Be sure to ask for their 'Kerak' to add more depth to the meal as well as the fried chicken.

Roast kitchen

Looking for nice yummy duck to eat with your rice? Or succulent chicken for that matter? Well we got the perfect place for you. This new chicken rice place located in Taman Tun is a breathe of fresh air when it comes to eating chicken rice. The white interior with orange hints here and there is a great compliment. Usually, we usually ask for extra Kicap (soy sauce) but here they pour ample of it on the rice. Not forgetting the fact that they are generous with their meat. Another plus!

Other than chicken rice and duck rice, they also served other foods. Another thing that keeps us coming is their chilli. Some may think that it is weird at first but once you try it, you can't stop eating it. Its like the Pringles's saying: once you pop, you can't stop.

{Their roasted chicken drumstic Rm7.00}

{Their infamous crispy duck rice Rm6.80}

The price for drumsticks are a bit pricer than normal by Rm1. But if you don't mind, then go ahead. The owners of the shop are really pleasant. That is also another reason why we kept coming back. They will make sure that you enjoy every moment eating at their restaurant. It is also a plus that he gave us to sample they honey roasted beef and also a bowl of their assam pedas. Yummmm! Be sure to call ahead because their duck sells like hot cakes!!
